Last weekend we visited Ambato city to try something different Downhill trails, so we decide to contact a friend from there, he is Jorge Albán or "El Coco", he is one of the most experiment riders from Ambato.
Well, after lunch we decide to meet him and go to enjoy for a downhill day. When we meet him, he decided to go to the trails near to Amabtillo town, there we colud find different options, the fisrt one was a fast trail with cracks and ditches in the middle of a fast section, was really cool; after that we visited another trails, in the next trail we down crossing many HOUSES..!! around us, was incredible, well after that, we go inside of a tunel, there, we could feel high speed and in the curves we could make big wall rides, then it has jumps, single tracks etc.
After an amazing day we returned very happy and satisfied for a good downhill day, and we wish return soon to continue enjoyed more of this places.

El fin de semana pasado decidimos visitar la ciudad de Ambato para probar algo diferente en cuanto a pistas de downhill, ya allá contactámos a un amigo, Jorge Albán conocido también como "El coco", él es uno de los más experimentados downhileros deAmbato y conoce varias pistas.
Después del almuerzo nos encontramos con él para disfrutar de un día de downhill, él decidió ir hacia unas pistas serca de la población de Ambatillo, ahí tuvimos distintas opciones, la primera fue un trail bastante rápido que el medio de lo que se bajaba soplado tenías secciones con grietas y zanjas q se pasaba a toda madre, full control, fue increíble, después fuimos a otro en el cual cruzabas por entre CASAS!! eso estuvo a lo bestia, de ahi en los trails había partes dond esntrabas a un túnel donde podías sentir la velocidad y era tal así que en las curvas podías subirte fáilmente a la pared y hacer unos wallrides gigantes, después habían saltos, single tracks, etc.
Después de un día genial, regresamos a la ciudad bastante contentos y satisfechos por el día de downhill, esperándo regresar pronto a seguir disfrutándo de más de estos sitios.

ILALO DOWNHILL + 4X4

An amazing weekend we live past sunday, we visited the Ilalo hill to have a fun time in the mountain, was an incrdible adventure, well at the beginnig we had problems with the bikes because a friend bought a new pieces for his new bike an iron horse sunday and we spend lot of time trying to find the pieces in a friend´s house and after we found them, trying to ensambled. Well, after that problem the rest of the day was great; for me and others was the first time that we visited the Ilalo hill, some time ago I was in there, but the weather was terrible and I couldn't go to the top. So this time I did it..!! and was a good experience. The adventure had a complement, the 4x4 road, that was great, imagine we went in a Ford F-150 4x2, what amazing engine!!!, the truck just needed some weight in the back and climbed up like a beast, obviously the pilot had a big participation hahaha.. The downhill track was totaly crazy, the first part was a single track crossing the forest, lot of mud and grass, some jumps, was really really fast, I really enjoyed this part; after that we decide to take a different route, and the track change completly was a destroyed road with lot of graves in a "cangagua soil" that it´s like wet soap soil, a fine layer of kind of yellow mud, and you have practically no traction; for that reason we had lot of falls but nothing serious, and was a funny time that all of us lived for around 3 hours, exelent..!!, then we arrived at the church of El Tingo Town and we decided to go to eat something, we went to a restaurant in the way to San Rafael and enjoyed a good meal called "Chuchucaras", then we returned to Quito, incredible fullday..!!!
ESPAÑOL: Una increíble aventura la cual vivimos el fin de semana pasando en el cerro del Ilalo donde fuimos a tener un pleno día de montaña, Bueno al principio tuvmos algo de problemas con las bicis ya que un amigo decidió comprar unas piezas nuevas para su Sunday y nos tomó un montón de tiempo encontrar las piezas que estaban perdidas en la casa de otro amigo y otro buen tiempo gastamos intentando armala jajaja. Bueno aparte de este problema todo bien, para mi y otros más fue la primera vez que visitabamos el Ialo, recuaerdo que una vez fuí a intentar bajar pero el clima fue todo un desastre y no pude llegar a la cumbre, Lo bueno es que esta vez lo hice y valió la pena. La aventura tuvo un complemento que fue el camino de 4x4, imaginen que subimos en una Ford f-150 4x2, que increíble motor, solo le hizo falta un poco de peso en el valde y trepó con unabestia!!! jajaja, obvio que el piloto hizo un gran papel. Ya en el Downhill que fue todo loco, empezamos con un single track que se iba cruzando entre el bosque con mucho césped y lodo, bastante resbaloso, algunos saltos en el camino, osea genial; Yo realmente disfruté de esta parte; luego de eso decidimos cambiar de la ruta y tomamos un camino totalmente destruído con un montón de fosas y huecos a los lados, full piedras y para variar cangagua, osea full resbaloso, por lo cual hubo montón de caídas pero nada grave. Luego de toda esta increíble aventura llegamos a la Iglesia de El Tingo donde ya nos reunimos todos y decidimos ir a comer algo; ya en el camino vía a San Rafael paramos en un restaurante donde nos pedimos unas ricas chuchucaras, y después emprendimos viaje a Quito; fue un increíble domingo..!!!!
